Description: A stream carrying 4-foot logs in the Green River area during the spring drive. The drive would start when the water level in the streams was high and it would last usually about fifteen days. Workers called it the "grande drave". During those two weeks, logs were thrown in the stream; logs floated down, brought along by the current. Drivers guided the logs to prevent or dislodge pile-ups. All timber cut during winter was moved that way before the swell of the streams diminished.
