Description: Two men stand on a log pile near a stream. The drive started as soon as the level of water in the stream was high and it lasted a fortnight. This is what loggers called "La grande drave". During those two weeks, wood was thrown into the streams and was carried bt the current. Log drivers guided logs and released them from pile-ups. All the wood cut during winter was floated downstream before the water level lowered.
