Description: From 1955 onward, Fraser hired workers to retrieve wood from the bottom of the Madawaska River in winter. This helped to clean the river and to salvage wood caught in the river. We see a man with a peavey pulling 4-foot logs from the Madawaska River. That wood will later be transported to the Fraser mill in Edmundston.
