Description: We see drivers using peavies along the Madawaska River near the Baisley conveyer. They used boats to retrieve logs from the river banks. The Baisley conveyer would pile up logs along the Madawaska River in the Québec province. This wood came from the Green River forests. A private road was used to bring the wood by trucks up to here as it was faster and less expensive for the Fraser Companies.
