Description: This Fraser Companies sawmill was located along the Tobique River in Plaster Rock. This sawmill was built in 1906 and sawed logs into wooden boards. We see a smoke-stack indicating where bark was burned to produce steam energy. We also notice a water tank in the background, used in case of fire. At right, we see the storage shed where wooden boards were stored before being loaded on trains.
