Installation of a Shredder at the Plaster Rock Sawmill

Description: We see the construction of the chipper and conveyor at the Plaster Rock Fraser sawmill on December 11th, 1958. This allowed scrap wood to be transformed into wood chips by means of blades welded on rotating drums. The chips were then transported by train to the Edmundston or Atholville Fraser pulp mills.
