Description: Armand Lebrun, walking boss at Summit Depot in the Green River forest operations of Fraser Companies Limited, tries on snowshoes to cross over the soft snow still remaining in early May 1955. Connors Brook at its high water level moves swiftly behind him and the pulpwood piled along its banks will soon be pushed into the water on its drive to the company's pulp and paperboard mill in Edmundston.
