Hot Pond Section of the Kedgwick Fraser Sawmill Workshop

Description: This outdoor heated pool, the hot pond, at the Fraser sawmill (Kedgwick)was used to wash, thaw, and soak logs during wintertime to facilitate the debarking process. Logs entered the sawmill on three conveyors where they were debarked by machines. Afterwards they were cut into boards.
