Description: We see the (Kedgwick) Fraser sawmill after 1977. This sawmill was officially opened in 1970 and then closed down in 1990. Construction lumber was produced here in sizes of 2"x4" and 2"x6". Logs were debarked and cut in the sawmill located near the waste incinerators. The sorting storage shed section was located at the end of the sawmill, and was where lumber was sorted by size and quality. The circular structures on the right of the mill are the waste incinerators. Unusable waste (mainly bark) was burned there. There were three lumber kilns- one large one and three smaller ones near the large lumber yard. Once cut, lumber was dried in the kilns. The planer section is located near the railroad, where lumber was planed to be made smooth and uniform. It was then classified and stacked on train cars. It was also stacked outside in the lumber yards.
