Description: A calender's stack of rollers and the paper on the reels of Number 7 paper machine at the Madawaska, Maine Fraser Paper Limited mill. The Number 7 paper machine mesured 234 inches in width, and had an operating speed of 2,ooo feet per minute. In the 1960s, this machine was considered one of the top paper machines in the industry. The average per day was 175 tons of uncoated fine paper or 155 tons of groundwood directory paper. This photo was taken for John Inglis Co.
